The paint has to be slightly thicker than the cardboard, and it is best that you leave about one-third of an inch of paint on the edges so that it runs across the cardboard.

Don’t worry too much about the paint getting stuck to your mask. It’s easy to remove it later, and it’ll leave you with a wonderful finished mask to show off to everyone! It’s also a good idea to wipe away any excess paint once you are done, so that you don’t wind up with smudges or smears on your dog.

Then it’s time to glue the mask on your dog’s head. First you will need to be certain that you have a secure fit between the mask and your dog’s head. Once you’ve made sure that it’s secure, then you can begin to glue the mask onto the dog’s face. Keep your hands out of the way and use tape to hold it in place as you repeat the process on the cardboard folds till you’ve got the mask snugged firmly onto the face of your dog. And attach the other area of the mask onto the dog. Be sure the ears are level and be sure that it is not too short or long as this can cause some issues with the mask slipping off the dog’s face.
